Hello Everyone!
Here are the top 20 cosplayers of 2010. All pictures were taken (with the cosplayers' permission) during the Toycon 2010 at the SM Megamall. If you know the name of the characters they are portraying (or if you know their name, wink wink), please feel free to post them at the comments section.
Here's a taste of cosplaying action. These girls didn't make it to the top 20, though, probably because there were a lot of them and if you only take one from the group, it wouldn't be as spectacular. Enjoy!
On to the rankings. Click on any image to enlarge them. Remember, if you know an anime character that we don't, please let us know:
20. Solid Snake fighting someone that looks like Grimmjow from bleach
19. Ghost from Call of Duty 6: Modern Warfare 2
18. Girl with purple hair and two fans (the real fan and the kid).
17. Louise from Zero no Tsukaima and Natsu from Fairy Tale
16. Cat girls for all nekomaniacs out there.
15. Kisame from Naruto and Naruto Shippuuden. Too bad he didn’t bring his samehada.
At this point, let me note that so far, none of the cosplayers we’ve shown demonstrate the willingness and playfulness to play their roles and pose anime-style. You’ll see in the next section what we mean, and that posing perfectly can turn simple costumes into great artwork.

7. A violinist and a girl with a big, badass hammer. We would also like to thank these girls for being very game in our mini-photography sessions when we asked the violinist to hold the hammer. You’ll see this picture in another post.
6. She looks familiar, but I can’t remember right now. I’ll update this once I do.

4. Misa Amane from Death Note
3. Jack Sparrow from the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy… or Marshall Eriksen from How I Met Your Mother. Haha.
2. Another familiar costume. And very beatiful girl, too.
1. We got to see this girl twice in two different costumes. On both times, she was mobbed by a horde of photographers. She looks pretty in the pictures, and even more so in person. The one on the left, I’m not sure which anime character it is, but the one on the right looks like Miku Hatsune. Not 100% sure though. Still, a great, great cosplayer.
